A food consultant and registered nutritionist (ANutr), with over 20 years’ expertise in the food and nutrition sectors. James is widely regarded as one of the leading authorities in hospitality, catering, food hygiene and food safety – including legislation.
James started his career in food by becoming a qualified chef and enjoyed achieving awards, including ‘Restaurant of the Year’ for 3 consecutive years. He then became a fully qualified tutor and trainer. Working with colleges and universities, James has developed and delivered innovative training programs on food safety, allergen awareness, catering for dietary conditions and nutritional labelling. He has put this passion to use operating as a consultant to local authorities and food companies across the UK – including world-leading brands like Ryvita.
James is also passionate about technology and using it to improve business processes. He has designed online training materials and developed several innovative systems, including a cooking lesson booking portal and a diet/weight assessment tool.
